Click on any of the questions to read the associated answer. Services FAQs I need a website designed for me. What should I do? I offer professional website design services to clients at very affordable prices. To get started, you need to request a free consultation with me in order to determine the type and features of website you need. On the other hand, you can always checkout my web design products to see if I already have a product that closely meets your needs. How much will my website design cost? The cost is relative to the requirements of the website in question and on the time and skills required to set it up. That is why I need to ascertain precisely, through consultation, what you want to be included in your website before I can come up with an accurate estimate for you. How long will it take to design and deliver my website? The time required to complete your website design project will vary depending on the requirements of the website and how occupied I am at the moment. On the average, I deliver between 1 to 8 weeks depending on on the type of project. But you need not worry, I usually deliver even before the stipulated time. What are required before I can have my website running? First, you need your website files (codes, text, images, etc, that have already been weaved into functional web pages). As a web designer, this is where I come in by weaving together text, images, codes, etc into viewable web pages for you. Secondly, you need a unique web address that can be used to access your website on the internet (e.g., www.example.com). Finally, you need a storage space (hosting space) on the internet where your website files can be stored in order for your website to be readily accessible around the globe by anybody with an internet connection and your website address. These are basically the three things needed to have your website up and running. Do you include domain name registration and web hosting by default in your service? Not really! My primary service is to design professional website for clients; therefore, domain name registration and web hosting are special packages that can be included at the discretion of client. If you already have a domain name and suitable web hosting, there's no need paying extra for what you already have. Do you offer me support after you must have completed and delivered my website? Yes, I do offer support for bugs and errors for six (6) months after project was successfully delivered, provided the website files and codes are not modified by you or a third party. I'm not only interested in getting your job done and delivered, I'm equally interested in giving you the best technical support for any issue that may come up. Would you train me on how to use and manage my website? Yes, I do offer to clients face-to-face or over-the-web basic training on how to use and mange their websites on their own. Clients also have a period of one month after successful project delivery to ask me any question concerning the operation of their new website. Is website maintenance part of your website design service? No, website maintenance is not included by default in my web design service; although, I offer website maintenance as a separate service on its own. I can equally undertake the maintenance of website designed by another company where such is possible. Whose duty is it to provide the needed content for my website? It's the responsibility of client to provide the content (written text, main graphics/photos, video, etc) that will form parts of the web pages. My duty as a designer is to weave the provided content into visually-appealing and functional web pages. However, where client, for one reason or the other, could not provide such needed content, I can help out either by using generic content, where possible, or by recommending expert who can create the needed content for a fee. What about ownership and copyright of website? Usually, I place copyright information at the bottom of every website that I designed for client. The website content remains the property of client, and the content copyright is to the client business name. However, the website 'design' copyright rest with me and clients are not allowed to distribute, sell, or transfer the 'design' without my consent. Also, I normally place my website link at the bottom of every website I design. But if client want the link removed, it can be done provided I can still showcase and link to the client's website from my portfolio page and other promotional materials I use.
